It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to the 10th anniversary edition of TRUE Anguilla.

When Orrett Wynter and I created this unique tourism guidebook, we wanted to reflect the beauty and authenticity of Anguilla and her people, as well as highlight the unique excellence of the tourism experience here.

Over the past 10 issues, we’ve strived to capture the island’s true spirit by featuring fresh content from Anguillian writers and creators, offering a local perspective with international appeal. I didn’t dream that we would not only survive (we put out an issue after a catastrophic hurricane and another after a global pandemic when all printed material was banned!) but thrive.

This is due to two things: the support of our advertisers – many of whom have been with us since the start – and our committed readers, who eagerly anticipate and collect each issue. And never did I imagine that we would one day have our own TV show and highly rated website.

The number 10 symbolises completeness, wholeness and harmony – qualities that resonate deeply with Anguilla’s independent spirit, stunning beaches and welcoming people.

It also represents enlightenment and transcendence, which anyone immersed in our turquoise waters or spending time stargazing under our skies will understand. We hope you truly enjoy our magazine.
